MY DREAM JOB

 I would like to be a dentist, I imagine that I will be able to return the smile to each patient who needs it. I would like to work in the public system and hopefully in some rural region of Chile, since my dream is to live and work in the South. It must be challenging to be a dentist because each patient is different, there are many people who are afraid of going to the dentist either because of the noises that the instruments make, or because of the fear of having their teeth extracted.

The skills needed to be a dentist are fine motor skills. Because each movement has to be precise, you have to know how to handle the instruments and materials. You also have to have social skills, because you are working with people, not machines. You have to know how to empathize with other people's pain, and know how to explain the risks and benefits of treatment to each patient.

The current salary of a dentist in Chile is good. I mean that many people earn an average of $600,000 and the salary of dentists is approximately $1,000,000. The problem is that the profession is collapsing because there are many people who are studying it.
